In 1972 the Palczweski Brothers founded Amingo Glass as a studio for the creation of glass art with a focus on stained glass and has been active both in wholesale and retail market places. The studio is located in the Eastern Panhandle of WV near Berkeley Springs WV and is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from Washington DC. and Baltimore MD Our main intreats lies in creating stained glass windows and mirrors using the copper foil method technique as exemplified my Tiffany lampshades. The styles have changed over the years with many variations, but the work is currently centered in the Art Deco Period with some emphasis in the Victorian Period. Other interest includes work with fused and slumped glass making items as bowls , chargers, and jewelry. To describe the style one would have to call it Deco Lineal with major use of irridized and dichroic glass for accent Amingo Glass has exhibited widely over the last 30 plus years both in the retail and wholesale markets Showing at the Rosen Group Shows, the American Craft Council Shows , Winter Park Art Festival , Michigan Guild Arts and Crafts Fair, Harpers Ferry Arts and Crafts Festival, and Sugarloaf Mountain Works Shows. The work is shown at Galleries across the country including Easy Street in Annapolis MD, Tomlinson Craft Collection in Baltimore MD, Fire & Ice in Washington DC and Baltimore MD, Seekers Gallery in Cambria CA, Tamarack in Beckley WV, Topeo in New Hope PA, Don Drumm Studios in Akron OH, and Gifted Hand in Boston MA |
